Morgan Turned Four Chairs in Her Blind Audition
For her Blind Audition on Season 22 of The Voice, Morgan performed “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen. She turned all four coaches’ chairs, with Camila Cabello hitting her block button to stop Gwen Stefani from getting the singer on her team. John Legend called it “one of the best Blind Auditions I’ve seen in quite a long time.”
Morgan described herself as being “on the edge of country,” but said she has “always been extremely soulful” and is interested in “pop melodies.” She added that she loves storytelling. Cabello described herself as a storyteller when pitching herself to Morgan.
After choosing to join Team Camila, Morgan went up against Steven McMorran in the Battles on a duet of “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus. Cabello chose her as the winner of the Battle, and she went on to compete in a three-way Knockout, singing “What the World Needs Now Is Love” and once again keeping her spot on the team.
Now Morgan is headed to the Live Playoffs. It will be up to the show’s viewers to vote for their favorite artists to move on in the competition.
