Meet Omar Cardona, the Singer John Legend Called “One of the Best Singers” on ‘The Voice’

One of the most versatile singers on The Voice, Omar Jose Cardona is the powerhouse vocalist from Team Legend. Omar’s singing prowess has continually graced the stage, he’s also the singer John Legend called “one of the best singers,” on the show.
Who is Omar Cardona?
Omar rocked the house during his four-chair turn Blind Audition on season 22 of The Voice. He delivered an energetic performance of “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” by Journey that wowed everyone.
Omar’s singing experience can truly be felt every time he steps on stage, being a full-time performer in Orlando, Florida. Having over 15 years of experience in performing has helped shaped Omar’s voice into something really spectacular. Ahead of The voice, he’s been a background vocalist for Jordan Fisher and performed as part of a local Florida a capella band, VoicePlay.
In addition, Omar also performs together with his band named Epic Party Band. The band’s official website details them as “a multi-generational super band,” that performs high-energy, concert-style shows.
The singer is also steadily growing his own fanbase on social media on a daily basis. The fans give praising and supporting the singer during his journey on The Voice.
John Legend Has High Expectations for Omar
The EGOT winner is clearly impressed with Omar, he’s typically praising the singer’s style and technique following his The Voice performances. Legend also has faith that Omar can go all the way this season and win the entire show.
“Omar has a crazy range that most male singers could never pull off,” Legend said.
Legend has helped polish Omar’s singing since they started working together, and the improvement truly showed in the Knockout Rounds. Omar poured everything he had during his performance, as a result, it earned a standing ovation from Camila Cabello. Ultimately though, it was Legend that had the most praise for the Orlando native.
“It’s become clear that Omar is one of the best singers we’ve seen since I’ve been on the show,” Legend said. “He puts so much power and soul into every performance, and that voice is just stunning.”
