The Talent Recap Show: ‘AGT’ Returns With Possibly The Greatest Audition Ever

America’s Got Talent returned this week with a truly spectacular premiere. There were lots of thrilling acts, the usual assortment of weirdoes, and great singing talent. But no one made a splash like singer Kodi Lee.
In this week’s thrilling episode of The Talent Recap Show, Mel and I return with our recap show of AGT. First of all, let me say how excited we are that America’s Got Talent is back. This is by far my favorite show that we cover. I love singers and all but AGT is just more fun than the other shows. Does The Voice have guys getting launched into the air with a giant crossbow while on fire? No, but maybe it should. At any rate, this premiere was crazy. There was so much talent that we had real trouble picking a top 3. But #1 was easy: Kodi Lee.
Kodi is a young man who suffers from autism as well as being blind. But that doesn’t stop him from being one of the best piano players with an insane vocal range I’ve ever seen on these shows. Seriously, just watch the video above. Then watch it again. Our weekly guest, last season finalist Brian King Joseph, agreed with Mel and I that this is the greatest audition we’ve ever seen on AGT. Seriously, just thinking about it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
