After she exited America’s Got Talent due to her ongoing cancer battle, Nightbirde appeared virtually during the live results show. Simon Cowell got visibly choked up talking to his Golden Buzzer. The pair have remained in contact since her audition.

Nightbirde’s audition has over 30 million views on YouTube and has made a huge impact on the world. Her original song “It’s OK” blew up on iTunes and she was the frontrunner in the competition. She revealed in an Instagram post that her health has “taken a turn for the worse.”
Her health is very important and all of the judges completely understand why she chose to leave the show. Celebrities, fans, and her fellow contestants have all rallied around her. Terry Crews asked her if she ever could have predicted the impact of “It’s OK.”
“There’s no way I would’ve ever imagined that,” she said. “It’s a song I wrote for myself in the middle of the night when I needed those words so bad. It’s beautiful to see the world welcome that song.”
When it was time for Cowell to speak with her, he got all choked up. We really never see him cry on any of his talent shows. This was a very rare and raw moment for him.
“You made the decision rightfully so that your health is your priority right now and I know last time we spoke you actually said that you feel that you let people down,” Cowell said. “I just want to say on behalf of all of us, you haven’t let anyone down.”
Nightbirde didn’t let anyone down by dropping out of the competition. Instead, she showed us all what resilience truly is. The judges wanted to remind her that she is already a winner. Cowell told her that her audition has had an “impact on so many people.”
Cowell had tears welled up in his eyes throughout the entire exchange. Nightbirde was visibly affected by his reaction. She said that all of the support she has gotten has “restored her faith in humanity a whole lot” to see everybody coming together. The singer finished off by saying being on AGT has been “the most beautiful thing that’s ever happened to me in my life.”
