Rebecca Black Making A Comeback on ‘The Four’
Woah. It was leaked today that Rebecca Black, known for viral phenomenon “Friday,” will be making a comeback on The Four season 2 premiere. In this video teaser, the internet star is all grown up and ready to “get down on…” premiere day? I tried.
Some of you might be thinking, who the heck is Rebecca Black? The internet sensation gained overnight fame after releasing a Youtube music video for her catchy pop song “Friday” back in 2011. It was a trending topic for weeks, and since then, she’s been known as the girl who did “Friday.” The song stayed stuck in people’s heads for… let’s just say, longer than I’d hoped. Hey, I’m not going to lie, I sang it. Everyone sang it. I remember when my colleagues would blast it every Friday morning to torture each other. Great, I’m humming it right now. But you can’t knock the young girl’s online success. To this day, “Friday” has 121M views on Youtube. Since 2011, Black has released more titles such as “The Great Divide” and “Satellite.”
So, how will Black’s history going to play into her public comeback on The Four? She has quite the loyal following; the viral star has 1.3M Youtube subscribers and 875K Instagram followers. This might be some of the highest stats for any contestant on this show so far. And the big question is, who would she choose to challenge? Would she take out one of the ladies, or would she go for the only man standing James Graham? Aside from all, I’m anxious to see what Black will bring to the stage. All I know is that she “better get down on” The Four.
