New Singing Competition ‘Alter Ego’ Takes ‘Game of Talents’ Time Slot
Reading Time: 2 minutes
There’s a new talent show set to take the Game of Talents time slot this fall. It’s called Alter Ego, and the premise isn’t quite like any other competition show currently on the air.
There’s still no news about whether or not Game of Talents will be renewed for another season. It looks like this new show will be taking its time slot later this year.
Alter Ego will be executive produced by Matilda Zoltowski, who has worked on talent shows such as World of Dance, Bring the Funny, and Dancing with the Stars. The series will help “singers from all walks of life become the stars they’ve always wanted to be.”
“However, these contestants won’t perform as themselves,” the description continues. “Rather, they’ll be given the chance to show how they’ve always wanted to be seen, creating their dream avatar Alter Ego to reinvent themselves and perform like never before.”
The show will reportedly air on Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. after The Masked Singer. That time slot is currently filled by Game of Talents, hosted by Wayne Brady.

What Else Can We Expect This Fall?
We don’t know yet whether Game of Talents will be renewed for another season. Based on the Alter Ego news, it won’t air in the fall — or else it will be moved to a different time slot. Its lead-in The Masked Singer will remain, however. Season 6 is set for this fall.
The show is currently airing Season 5, with the season finale set for next week. Check out Talent Recap’s latest Masked Singer recap video. It includes a prediction for the identity of the mysterious Cluedle-Doo, as well as a discussion of the recent Russian Doll reveal.
We’re excited to see what Alter Ego is all about, as well as FOX’s upcoming game show Don’t Forget the Lyrics!, which will be hosted by Niecy Nash.
