Maroon 5 has released a music video to go along with their new single “Middle Ground.” The band will be performing the song on The Voice finale Tuesday night. Frontman Adam Levine described the music video as “heartfelt and honest.”
Maroon 5 Releases ‘Middle Ground’ Music Video
The music video cuts between the band performing the song and enjoying an outdoor meal. Levine’s wife, model Behati Prinsloo, appears with him in the video. Levine said they wanted the video to have “a heartfelt and honest quality.”
“The creative,” Levine told People, “was to focus on the band — together — through a series of documentary-like images and vignettes: showing the process of creating the track, a ‘making the song’ with the band playing, discussing things and working parts out, including the casual goofing-off moments.”
Levine and Prinsloo’s daughters Dusty Rose and Gio Grace also appear in the video. At one point in the clip, the family shares a sweet moment as the couple lies together in a hammock. Earlier this year, the pair welcomed a third child together.

The Band Will Perform on The Voice Finale
Maroon 5 will be taking the stage during Tuesday night’s The Voice Season 23 finale, performing “Middle Ground.” This is notable, because Levine was previously a coach on the show. He’ll be there to say farewell to veteran coach Blake Shelton during his final episode.
After touring around Europe this summer, Maroon 5 will be heading back to Las Vegas to continue their residency at Park MGM in July. The first part of the band’s residency kicked off in March of this year.
“Middle Ground” is Maroon 5’s first new music since the release of their last album Jordi in 2021. The band has released seven albums since their debut Songs About Jane in 2002.
