Luke Bryan Tunes Contestant’s Guitar On ‘American Idol’

On a show like American Idol, different people have rolls to play. We’ll see what exactly those are when American Idol returns on March 11. Rumor has it that Katy Perry is the tougher “Simon Cowell” judge. One thing is for certain: Luke Bryan is the nice country boy.
In this clip, a young man shows up to audition for them with an out-of-tune guitar. In the past, with less nice judges, they would have just let him play with his ugly-sounding guitar and eliminated him. Luke stops the young man and personally tunes his guitar for him. We don’t know from the video if the kid got through but at least he was given a fighting chance with a tuned guitar.
Luke Bryan just seems like a super nice guy? I think he may struggle with the part where he has to crush people’s dreams of being a famous singer. But that’s showbiz.
