Lindsay Arnold Says Returning to ‘DWTS’ is “Not Gonna Work” for Her Family

Lindsay Arnold is prioritizing her motherly duties over everything. In a TikTok video, the Dancing With The Stars pro explained that not participating in season 32 is a decision best for her family.
Lindsay Arnold is Not Coming Back to DWTS Yet
Deeming it “tough” to be a DWTS pro and a mom at the same time, Arnold said that she opted not to do the show last season because of family. According to her, separating their family would be unfavorable for them considering that her eldest daughter, Sage, was still young.
At the time, watching season 31 with Sage and her husband was a “confirming moment” that she “made the right decision.” Now, with another baby to nurture, she’s more convinced that it’s not yet her time to go back to DWTS.
“The logistics of moving myself, my two-and-a-half-year-old and my three-and-a-half-month old down to LA for a few months by myself, it’s just a lot. And to be honest, a lot of it is the fact that I just, I don’t want to separate our family. I don’t really want to put my kids through that right now,” she said.
Arnold then stated that this particular time in her kids’ lives is “so precious.” Thus, she wants to “cherish every single moment.”
In the video, Arnold revealed that she’s been thinking since the beginning of 2023 if DWTS could fit in their lives. Ultimately, she concluded that it’s not gonna work out for her and her family.
She Teases Possible ‘Fun Connections’ for Season 32
While it’s clear that Arnold will not serve as a pro for the upcoming season, a special appearance might be possible. By the end of the video, the dancing pro teased her potential connection to season 32.
“That’s not to say that I’m not gonna be having some fun connections to this season,” she said. “I’m not gonna say anything other than that. But I’m very excited for this next season.”
Elsewhere in the video, Arnold reminisced her time on the show, saying she had an “incredible run.” Now though, she enjoys the fact that she gets to work from home while still living out her passion.
Despite the present situation, Arnold cleared up that she’s not completely retiring from the show. For the dancing pro, there’s a season for everything. Nevertheless, she admitted that motherhood is the role that’s gives her “the most fulfillment and joy” right now.
