Mel B Claps Back at ‘AGT’ Haters: “We All Have an Opinion”

Ever since Mel B returned to America’s Got Talent this season, fans haven’t been thrilled with her judging style. Now, Mel B is clapping back at the haters. Here’s what she had to say to people that dislike her judging.
AGT Judges Clap Back at Mel B Criticism
During AGT’s 20th anniversary, Mel B had her own honorary segment. While discussing the in-house audience, Mel admitted that they often disagree with her, “we all have an opinion.”
“You can’t be swayed by it [opinions],” Mel B said. “You just have to stay true to yourself.”
Following the comment, the show emphasized the returning judge, calling her “directly responsible for a lot of the history we are enjoying on America’s Got Talent.”
Simon Cowell pointed out that Mel B can be quite the loose cannon on the show. Apparently even he doesn’t know what she’s going to do and say on the panel. Howie Mandel describes her as”one of the brightest and most successful entertainers in history” even though she “has no idea what’s going on a whole lot of the time.”
Following Mandel’s statement, clips were shown of Mel B saying “I’m confused” followed by one of her not being able to pronounce Darci Lynne’s puppet name. Eventually, Mel B discussed her iconic saying “off the chains!” as well as her relationship with Cowell.

“Deep down she is a really really nice person,” Cowell said. “She is a great friend, she’s loyal, you can trust her and when she turns up she gives it 110% every single day.”
For those who may not know, Mel B was on the AGT judging panel from Season 8 to 13. She then returned to the judging panel this season to replace Heidi Klum.
Some Fans Want Mel B Replaced From The Judging Panel
Earlier this season, fans were vocal about their disappointment in the AGT Season 20 judging panel. Many were saying that Mel B has returned to the show with a lot of negativity.
One X (formerly Twitter) user put it plainly, writing, “Get rid of Mel B. She is too picky and even mean in her reactions. A person can say ‘no’ without being a b*tch.” Another fan wrote that the returning judge is “ruining the show.”
Someone else wondered, “Why is Mel B so miserable all the time? Kills the vibe of the show.” These opinions extended to YouTube, where one viewer commented, “Mel is such a killjoy!” As of this writing, the remark has received over 100 likes.
Talent Recap also recently received a comment complaining about the judge, writing that she “should be fired” from the show. The commenter called her a “terrible judge” and referred to her as “Stinky Spice.”
