Kelly Clarkson is back with the release of her newest single “Where Have You Been.” The song, which is said to be inspired by Hulu’s Only Murders In The Building is now available on all streaming platforms.
Kelly Clarkson Performs “Where Have You Been” As Part of TODAY‘s Citi Concert Series
On Tuesday, May 6, Clarkson appeared as part of TODAY Show’s Citi Concert Series. For those who may not be familiar, TODAY’s Citi Concert Series is a concert series featuring live performances from various musicians. In the summer, this series is held outdoors at the TODAY Plaza in Rockafeller. All in all, this series is a celebration of music.
During Clarkson’s concert, she performed hit songs “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You),” “Miss Independent,” and “Where Have You Been.” Since airing, fans have commented on the performance, saying they’re impressed in Clarkson’s ability to hit the high note in her new single so early in the morning.

Ahead of the performance, Clarkson joked that she may not hit the note. During the soundcheck for the concert, Clarkson said “If mama misses a note, you scream so loud that America can’t hear it. Cause it’s early.”
Clarkson dropped her newest single “Where Have You Been” on May 2, 2025.
When discussing the new song, Clarkson share it’s inspiration, Martin Short’s character on “Only Murders in The Building.” Shorts romance with Meryl Streep in the show was the inspiration for “Where Have You Been.” At the time of writing, the song’s official music video has earned over 1 million views on YouTube.
Her Atlantic City Residency is This Weekend
Clarkson’s short residency in Atlantic City begins this weekend. For those who may not know, Clarkson is set to perform at Atlantic City’s Mark G Etess Arena at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on May 9 and 10. Both concerts begin at 8pm at the New Jersey venue. Tickets, as of writing, are priced from $160 to $477 depending on seating selection.
Although Clarkson’s residency is short, she has another coming up. This summer, Clarkson will perform in Las Vegas, on July 4-5, 11-12, 18-19, 25-26; August 1-2, 8-9, 15-16. If you miss Clarkson’s Las Vegas stay, she’ll return in November for additional shows on Nov 7, 8, 14, and 15.
Clarkson’s Las Vegas residency will take place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Tickets as of writing are priced between $200-$1,000. Price greatly depends on which show you are planning to attend.
