Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton Get Personal With Verbal Attacks on ‘The Voice’
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton have quite the history on The Voice. Since her first season on the show, Kelly has been vocal about wanting to take country stars from Team Blake. But now, the fighting has gone beyond just country artists! And it’s getting personal.
Just watch their banter after Jej Vinson’s four chair-turning Blind Audition here:
As you can see, these two have been fighting with their claws out this season! Kelly and Blake’s friendship started way before their time on The Voice together. Kelly’s husband, Brandon Blackstock, is Blake’s longtime manager! Brandon started managing him long before he and Kelly were married.
Kelly starts the banter, saying Blake has “lost his damn mind.” Then, she and Adam call him out for encouraging Jej to not box himself in and choose him as a coach instead. But Blake combats that by saying that he gets results and wins the show. Kelly then goes on to call Blake “Lyin’ Shelton.”
Finally, Kelly wraps up her pitch by saying that she only has one male on her team so far this season, and he’s part of the trio, The Bundys. So, contrary to what Blake said, in order to stand out, Jej should really join her team.
And of course, he does! It looks like the personal attacks on Blake worked for her after all. We’re excited for plenty more to come from these not-so-friendly competitors.
