Katy Perry Asks Orlando Bloom’s Son for His Opinion on Her Music

Former American Idol judge Katy Perry recently spoke with Audacy about her new album 143. She shared that Orlando Bloom’s son Flynn has a “really good ear,” and she’ll ask for his opinion before she releases new music.
Katy Perry Says Orlando Bloom’s Son Has a ‘Really Good Ear’
Perry told interviewer Mike Adam that she plays her family “little bits and pieces” of her music before she releases it, but she won’t have a full-on listening party with them. As she joked, “They’ve had enough of me.”
“I will play things to Orlando’s son, who’s 13, and he has a really good ear,” Perry added. “He’s probably the best person out of my whole family. He loved ‘Never Really Over.’ I played that to him before it came out, and I was like, ‘What do you think?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, this is good.'”
Perry also shared that Flynn likes a song called “All the Love,” off her new album 143. She said it’s “one of my favorite songs that I wrote.” For those who don’t know, Flynn is Bloom’s son from his previous marriage to Miranda Kerr. Perry and Bloom are currently engaged, and they share a 4-year-old daughter named Daisy.

Perry Jokes ‘I Told You So’ About Benson Boone
Perry also commented on former American Idol contestant Benson Boone’s recent success. She confirmed that they haven’t spoken since the show, but added that she’ll “probably get the chance to see him very soon.”
“I’ll just be like, ‘Ha ha! I told you so! My crystal ball is correct!'” she joked. “Well, no, I mean, there was no denying. It was pretty obvious. And he’s the one that’s put in all the hard work and has all the talent and the adorable mustache.”
Boone auditioned for Season 19 of American Idol but chose not to advance to the Top 24. In the years since then, he’s grown in popularity. He released his debut studio album earlier this year and opened for Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour.
