Country star Jimmie Allen is reportedly being sued for sexual assault by his former manager. The disturbing news comes as Allen and his wife Alexis Gale (who is currently pregnant with their third child) are in the midst of a divorce.
Jimmie Allen Sued by Former Manager for Sexual Assault
According to Variety, a lawsuit was filed against Allen in a Tennessee federal court on Thursday in which a woman identified as Jane Doe accuses the singer of assault and sexual abuse over 18 months while she acted as his day-to-day manager.
The woman told Variety that in 2021, while traveling for an Ellen appearance, Allen groped her breasts, pushed his erect penis against her in public, masturbated in front of her, and forced his fingers into her vagina. Two months before that, the woman claims that Allen raped her during a different work trip for an American Idol guest appearance.
The woman says she woke up in her hotel room naked, in pain and bleeding vaginally, with no memory of the previous night. She claims Allen was next to her and told her to take a Plan B pill. The woman says she realized she had lost her virginity.
“I was disconnected from my body, feeling a sense of panic,” the woman told Variety, sharing that she remembered Allen saying, “I’ve been thinking about this for so long.” She added, “He held me in place. At that point, any physical will was just out the door. I was pretty much paralyzed.”
The outlet reportedly spoke to Jane Doe’s mother and friend, who say they were told of the alleged abuse. Variety also reportedly reviewed text messages that corroborate some of the woman’s claims.

Allen Denies the Allegations as He’s Suspended by His Label
Following news of the lawsuit, People reports that Allen’s record label BBR Music Group has suspended him. He’s also been dropped from the lineup at the upcoming CMA Fest. In a statement to Variety, Allen denied the allegations, claiming he and the woman in question had a consensual sexual relationship.
“It is deeply troubling and hurtful that someone I counted as one of my closest friends, colleagues and confidants would make allegations that have no truth to them whatsoever,” Allen said. “I acknowledge that we had a sexual relationship — one that lasted for nearly two years. During that time, she never once accused me of any wrongdoing, and she spoke of our relationship and friendship as being something she wanted to continue indefinitely. Only after things ended between us, did she hire a lawyer to reach out and ask for money, which leads me to question her motives.”
He went on to say that the accusations are “not only false, but also extremely damaging,” adding, “I’ve worked incredibly hard to build my career, and I intend to mount a vigorous defense to her claims and take all other legal action necessary to protect my reputation.”
Meanwhile, Allen and his wife Alexis Gale have both reportedly filed for divorce after announcing their separation last month. Gale is currently pregnant with the couple’s third child together.
