Gordon Ramsay’s ‘Future Food Stars’ is Like Nothing We Have Ever Seen

Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars seeks to find entrepreneurs to dominate in the food and beverage space. The 12 contestants are vying for £150,000 of Ramsay’s own money as an investment in their business.
Each week hopefuls are pushed to their limits in a series of challenges. The high stakes are no longer reserved just for the kitchen. The challenges range from contestants jumping off a cliff as well as creating a food app. Where we see a challenge about jumping off of cliffs, the show sees the opportunity to discover if a contestant can handle high pressure.
Unlike the winners on Hell’s Kitchen or MasterChef, Future Food Stars will help Ramsay enter the growing space of the food and beverage business. In 2019 the global food and beverages market reached a value of nearly 6 billion. By 2023 the market can top close to 7 billion. One of the reasons Ramsay created Future Food Stars was to also help combat the damages the pandemic has had on the industry.
The challenge for contestants is to have an idea that with Ramsay’s investment could become a major competitor over the next 18 months. Ramsay is not only looking to invest in a great idea, but also a great person.
Gordon Ramsay’s Culinary Empire
“To expand beyond restaurants and be in that food and drink lifestyle space, looking at what we’ve got in the competition, and how talented these individuals are, I’m equally as excited to invest in them as I would in any restaurant or hotel, anywhere in the country,” Ramsay said in a press release.
The Kitchen Nightmares host’s investments have paid off. Ramsay has built the ultimate culinary empire that spans TV, film, video games, as well as books. The chef and FOX Entertainment recently announced their production venture, Studio Ramsay Global. The company will develop, produce, and distribute culinary and lifestyle programming for FOX, Tubi, as well as the global market.
Ramsay’s new venture has already benefited the entrepreneur. Future Food Stars will air in both the UK and the USA at the same time after Fox bought the rights.
