Reading Time: 2 minutes
After spine-tingling nights of themed dances and two consecutive weeks of double eliminations, Dancing With The Stars season 31 is finally wrapping up. Next week, we’ll find out which dancing duo will snatch the Mirrorball Trophy.
Four celebrities along with their respective partners will battle it out in the ballroom. They are TikTok star Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas, comedian Wayne Brady and Witney Carson, The Bachelorette star Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy, and drag queen Shangela and Gleb Savchenko. Let’s get to know the stakes they have to cross in the final episode.
Finale Features a Redemption Round
For the DWTS Finale, each couple is assigned to two routines. The first one is referred to as the Redemption Round, in which partners will do a dance style they’ve previously performed this season. During this round, the four judges will help the couples improve their scores.
Carrie Ann Inaba will help Charli and Mark dance a Jive to “Grown” by Little Mix. Meanwhile, Wayne and Witney are paired with Len Goodman, who has just announced his departure from DWTS. They will perform a Quickstep to “(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher And Higher” by Jackie Wilson.
Shangela and Gleb will redeem their Quickstep with Bruno Tonioli’s assistance. They will dance to “Queen Bee” by Rochelle Diamante. Lastly, Gabby and Val will dance the Cha-Cha to “I Like It (Like That)” by Pete Rodriguez. They will redeem this style with the help of Derek Hough.
Freestyle Routines Revealed
For the second round, pairs will perform a freestyle. Essentially, this the finalists’ last shot to win the Mirrorball Trophy.
Performing to a medley of “Get Up” by Ciara featuring Chamillionaire and “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars are Wayne and Witney. Similarly, Shangela and Gleb will move to “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child and “Call Me Mother” by RuPaul.
Charli and Mark will dance Freestyle to “Us Again” by Pinar Toprak. Finally, Gabby and Val will perform to “Cell Block Tango” from Chicago.
Truly, DWTS season 31 has been a tight competition for all contestants. With the four remaining pairs securing their spots for the Finale, rising beyond their past performances is a must. To watch DWTS Finale, don’t forget to tune in on Monday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Disney+.
