Did Tyra Banks Just Troll Haters With ‘DWTS’ Wardrobe Change?

It’s no secret Dancing with the Stars fans aren’t keen on new host Tyra Banks. From Banks’s previous mess ups, over-the-top outfits, and treating the ballroom like her own personal runway, fans are over the former model. Now, it seems like not only does Banks know we’re not feeling her, she wants us to know she knows, and she simply does not care.
During the second episode of the season, fans were quick to point out her awful red gown that has since gone viral. The large sleeves that were compared to everything from Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup wrappers to dinosaurs inspired hundreds of hilarious memes.
Banks even spoke about the controversial dress on The Late Late Show With James Corden after the episode. She defended herself saying “different is better.”
“I don’t have time to be normal in a pretty dress, because nobody is going to say anything about a pretty dress. You’ve got to push it and go for it,” she said.
Really, we can’t argue with her. That dress will go down in talent show history as one of the strangest wardrobe choices ever made by a host.

Did Banks Troll Haters by Flaunting Latest Wardrobe Change?
Two weeks after Tyrasic Park, the host seems to be trolling her haters. She began the evening in a Lion Queen-style furry gown in honor of Disney Heroes Night. I genuinely thought Banks was welcoming Star Wars into the Disney family by dressing as Chewbacca; luckily, she posted a behind-the-scenes video explaining her outfit before the show.
As Banks prepared to head into her now-traditional wardrobe change halfway through the episode, Banks made it very clear she was off for a new outfit, and proud of it.
“Now I think it is time for me to change into something a little bit shinier, a little bit sparklier, can’t wait for you guys to see that next,” she said before taking us out to commercial.
I don’t know about y’all, but this sounds to me like Tyra looking us all right in the eye and telling us to go fly a kite. Banks is going to wear as many over-the-top huge gowns as she wants.
“Doing my thing for the Lion King, I’m sparkly this time,” Banks said returning from break in a golden princess gown with matching cape.
Basically, this is her show and she wants all of us at home to know it.
