Dancing with the Stars judge Derek Hough made an exciting announcement this week, as he shared that he’s heading out on a holiday tour later this year. Tickets for his Dance for the Holidays tour go on sale Friday.
Derek Hough Announces His First Holiday Dance Tour
Hough announced the upcoming Dance for the Holidays tour on social media Tuesday, teasing that the shows will feature “amazing dancing, stunning choreography, uplifting performances, live music, and an epic production.”
“I wanted to do something in the holiday spirit,” Hough told People, adding, “The holidays are a lot of fun, but they’re also quite an emotional time and can be quite difficult. I think that whenever you’re giving or serving in some kind of way, you’re living at your best.”
The tour will reportedly feature both classic and contemporary tunes. It will kick off on November 1 in Atlantic City, with stops in various cities around the United States through December 29. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 2, at 10 a.m. local time.
Hough is no stranger to holiday performances. He’s hosted ABC’s Disney Christmas specials with his sister Julianne, and the pair even had a TV special called Holidays with the Houghs on NBC in 2019. However, this will be Hough’s first holiday-themed tour.

Hough Talks ‘Year of Miracles’ with Wife Hayley Erbert
Hough’s most recent holiday season looked a lot different from the one he has planned for this year. The dancer’s wife Hayley Erbert was hospitalized last December with a cranial hematoma, and she had to undergo an emergency craniectomy.
“I feel like this past year has been a year of really miracles, honestly,” Hough told People. “That word gets thrown around sometimes, but truly, at least in our life there’s been some miraculous things that have happened.”
Hough and Erbert were performing on his Symphony of Dance Tour at the time of her hospitalization, and the remainder of the dates had to be postponed. Erbert ended up joining Hough for the rescheduled dates earlier this year. It’s unclear at this time if Erbert will be joining him on the holiday tour.
