Hayley Erbert is returning to her husband Derek Hough’s Symphony of Dance tour just a few months after undergoing a craniectomy and cranioplasty in December. Erbert announced this week that she’ll be back on stage when the tour starts up again later this month.

Hayley Erbert to Return to Husband Derek Hough’s Tour

In December, Erbert was hospitalized and diagnosed with a cranial hematoma. She had to undergo an emergency craniectomy and later a cranioplasty. The Symphony of Dance tour was postponed as the couple dealt with this unexpected health issue.

In February, Hough announced rescheduled dates for the continuation of the tour, which is set to kick off on April 14. At first, Erbert was not announced as being part of the tour. However, as of this week, she’s ready to return to the stage.

“Hi everyone, I am so excited to announce that I have been cleared to rejoin the Symphony of Dance tour and I will be dancing when the tour begins on April 14 in Melbourne, Florida,” Erbert shared in a video announcement on Friday’s Good Morning America.

Hough appeared in the video with Erbert, sharing, “We cannot wait to dance together again on stage and be back with all of our fans and thank them.”

Erbert Shares Rehearsal Video on Instagram

On Friday, Erbert shared a video on Instagram in which she can be seen rehearsing for the continuation of the Symphony of Dance tour. She can be seen dancing with Hough and as part of a group of female dancers. The clip is set to Calum Scott’s “Rise.”

“What a blessing (and surprise) it is to be able to be back on stage dancing with my love after such a crazy past four months,” Erbert wrote to caption the post, adding that her recovery “has been nothing short of extraordinary.”

She thanked the doctors “who have supported me in my decision to dance again,” noting that a team of specialists has been put together “to assure that my health and safety is priority.”

“I cannot wait for you all to see this show!” Erbert wrote to close the caption. “It was so meaningful when we opened last year and now, after everything that has happened, it is truly even more special.”
