‘Dancing with the Stars’ to Stream without Commercials — See the New Promo

Dancing with the Stars is making the move to Disney+ this September for Season 31, with a brand new, commercial-free format. The series has also released a new Disney-themed promo for the upcoming competition.
Dancing with the Stars Season 31 Will Have No Commercials
TVLine reported this week that Dancing with the Stars Season 31 will have no commercials on Disney+. The platform recently announced upcoming tiered subscription prices, including an ad-supported subscription. However, that won’t be introduced until December 8, which will likely be after DWTS finishes for the season.
There’s still a chance that Season 32 will stream with ads, but a representative told TVLine that no decision has been made yet. The outlet points out that this new ad-free format could affect how the competition is run.
For example, when it aired live on ABC, the show used commercial breaks to allow for costume and set changes. We’ll have to see how things are done when the show returns September 19 with co-hosts Tyra Banks and Alfonso Ribeiro. We’re happy to see Dancing With the Stars return to the two host format this fall.

Season 31 Has a New Disney-Themed Promo
Also this week, DWTS released a new promo for the upcoming season. Since the show will be airing on Disney’s streaming service, the video features clips from various Disney movies. These iconic films include Beauty and the Beast and Encanto.
The clips are intercut with moments from past seasons, including impressive dance moves and complimentary comments from the judges. The promo ends with returning host Tyra Banks saying, “Be our guest!”
The cast for Season 31 of the show will be announced September 8 on Good Morning America, so be sure to mark your calendars for the exciting news. Meanwhile, all four judges (Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli) will return to the ballroom this season.
