The judging panel for Dancing with the Stars Season 31 on Disney+ has been revealed. All four of last season’s judges — Len Goodman, Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli — will be back in the ballroom later this year.

Dancing with the Stars Announces Season 31 Judges

Hough, Inaba, and Tonioli had all confirmed their return to the show, but Goodman’s status was up in the air. According to Heavy, Dancing with the Stars and streaming service Disney+ officially announced the judging panel in a press release.

The announcement describes the judges as “renowned ballroom experts,” adding that they will “cha cha back to the judges’ table” for Season 31. In June, Tonioli teased his and Hough’s return to the ballroom on Instagram, writing that they would be “back soon” and he was “so excited.”

Although there has not been an official Season 31 premiere announcement, an insider recently reported that fans should expect the series to premiere on September 19. And while the judges are the same as last year, there’s a new co-host coming to the show.

Alfonso Ribeiro Joins Tyra Banks as Host

The Season 31 co-hosts for Dancing with the Stars were announced on Thursday. Season 19 champion Alfonso Ribeiro will be joining returning host Tyra Banks. Ribeiro is best known for his role on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He is currently the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos.

Ribeiro won Season 19 of the show with his partner Witney Carson. His former partner responded to his new gig on Instagram, calling him her “brother/uncle” and saying he’s a “perfect fit.” Carson added, “I cannot wait to hopefully be on that stage with you once again, and watch you light it up.”

Banks, meanwhile, has already hosted two seasons of the show. Her time in the ballroom has been met with some criticism. Due to viewer discontent, her fate on the show was up in the air following the move to Disney+. Maybe having two hosts again will be a good thing for the show moving forward.
