‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 31 to Premiere September 19
On Wednesday, Disney+ announced that DWTS Season 31 will premiere on the platform on Monday, September 19, 2022. This season, the show is leaving its longtime home at ABC and will be available to stream live.
Last month, entertainment reporter Kristyn Burtt, who frequently shares insider information about dancing shows, revealed that September 19 would be the premiere date. However, it’s good to have confirmation from the show itself.
Disney+ didn’t share a time for the season premiere in the announcement. But talent show fans might have noticed that September 19 is also the premiere date for The Voice Season 22 on NBC. There will be plenty to watch on Mondays this fall.
When Will the Cast Be Announced?
With the season premiere only about a month and a half away, we’re excited to learn which celebrities will be joining the show to compete. According to ABC News, the Season 31 cast will be announced September 8 on Good Morning America.
We already know which judges and hosts to expect this season. All four judges (Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli) will be returning the the table. Meanwhile, recent host Tyra Banks will return with a co-host, former champion Alfonso Ribeiro.
Last season, former NBA star Iman Shumpert became the first basketball player to ever win the show. The season’s runner-up, JoJo Siwa, also made history as part of the show’s first same-sex partnership with pro Jenna Johnson.
We can’t wait to find out what Season 31 has in store when it kicks off on September 19.
