Drew Herrmann/FOX Have you ever wanted to audition for a singing show, but were nervous that you wouldn’t be what the producers wanted? Alter Ego might be the show for you. Instead of going on the stage as as yourself, you will be backstage in a CGI suit. The CGI suit controls your on-stage avatar.
This show provides a futuristic spin on the formatting of blind auditions on The Voice. That being said, each contestant is given artistic freedom for their avatar. Choose the traits of your avatar, and we’ll tell you if you’d in FOX’s new talent show, Alter Ego.
Alter Ego‘s first season has finally begun on FOX. After seeing all of the previews, I can finally say that I really think this show provides something entirely new for it’s contestants. Although a blind audition isn’t a new thing, a completely blind competition is.
This show is setting it’s contestants up for success because they will be known as the people who were given a chance. After this first episode, I can truly say that Alter Ego seriously has such a great line up for their season.
Not only are all of these acts talented, they’re all different ages. When I looked closely into this seasons contestants, I noticed that there aren’t too many of them that are within the same age bracket. I found this very interesting considering talent shows typically pick young talent. I truly believe the diversity in ages is something that is extremely unique to Alter Ego, so I hope they continue to act in the same way if they get another season.
