Beyond Belief Dance Company is ‘America’s Got Talent’ Semifinals Wildcard

America’s Got Talent revealed this season’s semifinals wildcard act as Beyond Belief Dance Company. The group will perform during tomorrow night’s first semifinals episode.
The group was eliminated on August 10 during the first week of the live episodes this season. They were eligible for the Instant Save vote that week, but fans ultimately voted to send Kabir Singh through to the semifinals.
The judges were then tied as to who to save between the dance group and Madilyn Bailey, so the decision came down to which act had the most votes from viewers, which was Madilyn.
This close decision may have ultimately factored into the show’s decision to bring back Beyond Belief as the Wildcard.
Beyond Belief Dance Company Returns for Redemption
The group is led by drag queen Alyssa Edwards who competed on Season 5 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Beyond Belief auditioned for America’s Got Talent in 2016. Edwards did not want to be featured and instead chose to be more of a behind-the-scenes director while the group performed, similar to this season.
In 2018, Edwards and Beyond Belief Dance Company were featured in the Netflix original reality series Dancing Queen. In the show, the students are all a part of the competition dance sector. Clearly, this group hasn’t had their fill of the big screen.
Aidan Bryant, Dustin Tavella, Gina Brillon, Jimmie Herrod, Korean Soul, Madilyn Bailey, Michael Winslow, Peter Rosalita, Tory Vagasy, and World Taekwondo Demonstration will also all perform tomorrow night for their chance to make it to this season’s finals.
Catch Beyond Belief Dance Company during their comeback performance tomorrow night at 8p.m. ET on NBC.
