‘America’s Got Talent’ Star Frenchie Babyy Snags Role on Starz Series ‘Blindspotting’

Bone-breaking dancer Frenchie Babyy is taking his career from the America’s Got Talent stage to the small screens for a scripted series. The Season 15 Bay Area standout nabbed a role on the new Starz show Blindpotting which premiered on Sunday night. Members of his group Turffeinz Dance Crew also appeared alongside him in the comedy-drama series.
Frenchie Babyy Appears in ‘Blindspotting’ After Finding ‘America’s Got Talent’ Fame
Blindspotting stars Hamilton’s Jasmine Cephas Jones and is based on the 2018 film of the same name. Her Hamilton co-star Daveed Diggs serves as executive producer and writer along with Rafael Casal. In one scene, Frenchie and his fellow dance crew members play the roles of movers who are very animated with the way they are moving everything into the house. He uses his bone-breaking skills to hand off boxes while standing inside of the moving truck.
Frenchie posted scenes from the show on his Instagram story along with behind-the-scenes photos from the set. He has come a long way from his 2020 America’s Got Talent audition that ended with Simon Cowell calling his mother. Frenchie grew up in a strict and religious household with parents who weren’t supportive of his dreams to be a dancer. He left the house after a big argument and it was the last time he saw his dad.
After his audition full of hard-hitting moves, Cowell hoped to help Frenchie make amends with his family. He called his mother to tell her Frenchie had made it through to the next round of the competition. The show helped him reconnect with his family via a Zoom call during the Quarterfinals. After appearing on America’s Got Talent, Frenchie has been able to launch a huge career as a dancer and rapper.
He has amassed a million followers on TikTok with videos showing off his crazy flexibility. Frenchie has already appeared in music videos for popular artists like Chris Brown, Big Sean, Tyga, G-Eazy, and Wiz Khalifa. He is featured on the song “Shake It” with artist Nikky T which will be dropping soon.
