‘AGT’ Auditions: Simon Cowell Calls A Contestant’s Mom And Has An Emotional Chat [VIDEO]
AGT Season 15 continued with another night of auditions on Tuesday. The evening’s performances included singers, dancers, magicians, and one very funny comedian.
The episode also featured an emotional moment when Simon Cowell chose to make a phone call to a contestants’ parents, who had objected to his choice to pursue his dream of performing. Check out the night’s auditions below.

Divas & Drummers of Compton
This group from Compton combined drumming and dance and had the audience cheering. Heidi said it was “exactly what I want to see” on the show. Howie said they “epitomize what this show is about.” The group received four “yes” votes.
This young singer also plays several sports, but is more passionate about music. He performed “Break My Heart Again” by Finneas. Howie noted that he seemed “nervous and stiff.” He said no, but the other judges voted “yes.”
This dancer left home when his father disapproved of his choice to pursue the performing arts. He showed off some amazing contortion moves. Afterward, Simon called Frenchie’s mother and told her he received four “yes” votes. His mom gave him his fifth yes.
This comedian planned to go to med school but ultimately chose to go into comedy. When he got to New York, he survived by squatting. During his set, Usama joked about having a name that sounds like “Osama” after 9/11 and being in an open relationship. Howie praised his confidence, and Heidi said she wanted to hear more. He got four “yes” votes.
This 14-year-old singer attended his audition with his supportive parents. He performed “Ain’t No Way” by Aretha Franklin. Heidi said he did the song “justice,” and Sofia said she “wouldn’t change a thing.” Kelvin received four “yes” votes.
These sisters come from a family of performers. They performed an incredible balance routine. Sofia called it “breathtaking,” and Howie said it didn’t look “humanly possible.” He said he’d see them in Vegas. They received four “yes” votes to move on.
Golden Buzzer: Roberta Battaglia
This 10-year-old gets her love of singing from her father, and has been dreaming of being on AGT since she was little. Roberta was nervous before the performance, and Terry gave her some water to calm down. She sang “Shallow” from A Star Is Born.
Roberta was in tears after her performance, as the judges praised her. Simon joked that she must have been lip-syncing to someone standing off stage. Sofia was so impressed, she hit the Golden Buzzer to send Roberta straight to the live shows.
This magician performed an impressive routine making CDs disappear and reappear in his hands. The crowd went wild for it. Simon said he has “great stage presence.” He moved on to the next round.
Jennifer & Daiquiri
This dog act involved a little bit of magic, as the dogs transformed into each other. Sofia was so impressed, she thought the dogs were robots. They received four “yes” votes from the judges to move on.
Simon & Maria
These young salsa dancers were both born in Colombia. Sofia spoke to them in Spanish, saying she’s happy to have them here. She complimented their energy and song choice. Heidi called them “super entertaining.” They received four “yes” votes.
This musician with eccentric style struggled with pursuing his dreams in Ohio, so he moved to Hollywood. He performed an original song that he calls “the story of my life.” He wore a skimpy sequined outfit and danced around the stage and the judges’ table while performing.
Howie called him his “biggest surprise” this season. Heidi said she loves “everything about him.” Simon said he expected him to get four red buzzers. Instead, he got four “yes” votes.
