American Idol‘s Leah Marlene Moves to Los Angeles
Last month, Leah posted on Instagram about turning 21 and shared the news that she would soon be moving from her hometown of Normal, Illinois, to Los Angeles. Then over the weekend, she posted a photo at the wheel of a car, captioned, “brb… moving across the country.”
Leah also took to her Instagram stories on Sunday once she made it to LA after 30 hours of driving. She said it was “so weird” that she lives there now, sharing that she would be in a sublease for the first six weeks.
She shared her excitement about the size of her closet and said she’d love to have helping moving her stuff again next month. “I live in LA now,” she said incredulously as she looked around her room.
But what really made Leah happy about her new home is that she got to order her favorite salad from California Chicken Cafe. She called it “the love of my life in food form” and said it was all she ordered during her time on American Idol.

Leah Is Returning to Her Hometown Next Month
Leah may be moving to LA, but she’s not leaving Normal behind entirely. She’ll be back in town on August 27 to perform a hometown concert at the Corn Crib, with appearances from her fellow Season 20 contestant Fritz Hager and Season 16 American Idol winner Maddie Poppe.
The singer will also be opening for Maddie at a show in Evanston, Illinois, on July 30. Leah recently shared a schedule for upcoming shows on Instagram. Stops including Ontario and Denver. She’ll also be playing at the Troubadour in LA on October 5, opening for Carbon Leaf.
Even if you can’t make it to any of her upcoming shows, you can listen to Leah’s album Many Colors, which was released earlier this year. She also has her Idol single called “Flowers” available to stream.
