‘AGT’ Standout Gabriel Henrique Channels His Inner Whitney Houston on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’

Gabriel Henrique is definitely a sensational singer. The America’s Got Talent standout recently made a guest appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show for an impressive song number.

During the talk show’s “Spotlight” segment, the AGT semi-finalist belted out Whitney Houston’s “Run To You.” As if the song isn’t difficult to sing, Henrique effortlessly finished his performance that even Hudson herself was blown away.
“I want to run to you (oooh) / But if I come to you (oooh) / Tell me, will you stay, or will you, run away,” he sang.
On Instagram, Henrique reflected on his special moment on the syndicated talk show. The singer obviously didn’t hide his awe towards the EGOT winner.
“Being alongside one of the world’s greatest voices of this generation fills my heart with pride. God is too good, Glory to God!!! Jennifer Hudson has always inspired me, and now I’m on her show!!! Jhud I LOVE !!! Thank you for inviting me! It’s a dream come true!” he wrote.
“Run To You” was the same song that Henrique performed during his audition on AGT season 18. He became an instant frontrunner after his audition, snatching judge Sofia Vergara’s Golden Buzzer. The 27-year-old Brazilian vocalist earned high praises from the judging panel, with Heidi Klum stating that he sounded like if Whitney and Mariah Carey “had a baby.”
Ahead of his shot to fame on AGT, Henrique has already proven himself on social media platforms. On YouTube, he’s quite a big personality, frequently posting cover songs. There, he’s also uploaded a rendition of Houston’s “I Have Nothing.”
In 2022, Henrique released his self-titled debut album. His first single is “Me Rendo a Ti.” On the other hand, his latest song released is “Se o Amanhã” with Shirley Carvalhaes.
