‘AGT’ Results: Metaphysic, Mike E. Winfield Move on to the Finals
Reading Time: 2 minutes
America’s Got Talent Season 17 returned Wednesday night for the fourth live results show of the season. At the end of the night, Metaphysic and Mike E. Winfield were announced to be moving on to the Finals thanks to America’s vote. We had to say goodbye to nine other acts.
Two Acts Move on in ‘AGT’ Results Show
During the results show, AGT host Terry Crews announced that the Top 5 acts from Tuesday night’s show were Merissa Beddows, Metaphysic, Jack Williams, Lily Meola, and Mike E. Winfield. That was narrowed down to the Top 3, which included Metaphysic, Lily, and Mike.
Metaphysic and Mike were chosen to move on to the finals, which means we had to say goodbye to Lily, Merissa, and Jack, as well as Bayley Graham, Acapop!, Harper, The Lazy Generation, Jannick Holste, and Lee Collinson.
However, there will be one wildcard act in the Finals. Each of the judges will choose one act to be up for America’s vote. The chosen act will join the Top 10 acts decided during the Qualifiers. Next week is the final round of Qualifiers before the Finals.
Multimedia act Metaphysic and comedian Mike E. Winfield were the expected acts to move on after a largely underwhelming episode on Tuesday night. They’re each the first acts of their kind in the Finals, joining four music acts and two magicians. Lily Meola is the second Golden Buzzer act to be eliminated, in addition to Maddie.
Riverdance, Piff the Magic Dragon Perform
Tonight’s results show show opened with a stirring performance from Riverdance, and later in the show, former AGT magician Piff the Magic Dragon took the stage. He performed a silly routine with his dog Mr. Piffles that got judge Howie Mandel involved.
Piff challenged Mandel to a Rubik’s cube solving contest with Mr. Piffles. Although neither of them managed to solve the cube in the allotted time, they magically ended up with exactly the same result. The performance ended with Mr. Piffles supposedly peeing out Mandel’s favorite drink, an Arnold Palmer.
Tune in next Tuesday night for the final round of Qualifiers, as eleven more acts take the stage to decide which two should move on to the Finals.
