This is largely in part by the story of castmembers Tim Clarkson and his girlfriend Melyza Zeta and their cheating drama that is unfolding right before our eyes. ’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’ Is Uncovering Its Latest Cheating Scandal
Tim and Melyza first met when she was working as an au pair in Iowa and pursuing her college degree. Tim was working at a bar when he first spotted Melyza and won her over even though she never struggled to get male attention. He describes himself as “incredibly goofy.” Melyza had to move to Boston to take another job and the pair continued to see each other even though they lived in different cities. But when it came time for her to go back to her native Colombia a year later, Tim didn’t want her to leave. She planned on coming to the U.S. on a tourist visa so the pair did not have to have any distance between them.
Last year Melyza had the opportunity to come for six months on her tourist visa. For Tim, this was the perfect opportunity to buy a ring and propose. “A month before she came, I cheated on her,” Tim said. “I think, yeah, every couple has their struggles, but the struggles that we were having were maybe more directly attributed to some things that I personally needed to work on.” Melyza did end up coming to visit but was very suspicious that Tim was hiding something from her. By looking through social media, she eventually figured out that Tim cheated. This caused a lot of friction and arguments in their relationship. Tim is hoping they can be able to put this issue behind them and focus on the future. But, will Melyza ever truly be able to forgive him for breaking his trust?
Will Melyza Ever Consider Moving Back To The United States?
Tim spoke to Entertainment Tonight ahead of the episode revealing his cheating scandal. “You know, every relationship has their trials and tribulations and we’re no different,” he said. “And there’s just been certain things that have transpired over our relationship that have made her more hesitant with moving to the United States permanently.” This raised several questions about whether Tim would be opposed to moving to Colombia to be with Melyza. “It’s kind of made us reevaluate where we are gonna be together. And I’ve never had an issue thinking about moving to Colombia at all.”
Tim and Melyza join the other 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couples in having just 90 days to marry their partners once they arrive in their countries. If they do not get married within the 90 day window, the American must return home.
