Kelly Clarkson sang “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” and it looks like that motto also applies to her current divorce. A source says Kelly’s split from Brandon Blackstock will make her a “stronger person.”
Kelly reportedly filed for divorce last month after almost seven years of marriage. However, she and Brandon seem to be on pretty good terms, based on her recent social media post.

A source spoke to People about how Kelly Clarkson is handling her divorce from Brandon Blackstock. The singer is apparently keeping busy with her talk show and working on a new album.

“Kelly is a doer, a pusher, someone who forges ahead even when it’s difficult for her,” the source said. “Being busy is a blessing and she knows that.” They added, “Music builds her up even if her songs are confronting her troubles. Kelly will come out of this a stronger person.”
Kelly has said she tends to write songs when she’s “struggling,” so we’re not surprised she’s turning to music at this time. Fans have been waiting for a follow-up to her 2017 album Meaning of Life, and it sounds like we might be hearing it pretty soon.
Kelly Sends A Positive Message To Her Ex-Husband
Even at such an emotional time, Kelly seems to be on good terms with ex-husband Brandon. She recently won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host, and took the time to thank Brandon for his support.

Kelly tweeted a thank-you to Brandon for “believing in me & convincing me to do” The Kelly Clarkson Show. She also thanked her assistant Tricia Farrow. Fans were touched by her kind words in the midst of a divorce, with one user calling her “the epitome of class.”
It’s nice to see that Kelly and Brandon are apparently getting along, as the couple has two kids together — River Rose, 6, and Remington Alexander, 4.
