Why Isn’t ‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 19 on Tonight?

America’s Got Talent Season 19 has reached the Semifinals phase of the competition. However, the show won’t be airing in its usual time slot on Tuesday night. Instead, the next live show will air on Wednesday night, with results on Thursday.
Why Isn’t AGT on Tonight?
America’s Got Talent typically airs performances on Tuesday nights, with the results on Wednesday. However, NBC will be showing the presidential debate on Tuesday night, so the AGT schedule has had to be adjusted.
The first part of the AGT Season 19 Semifinals will air on Wednesday night at 8/7c on NBC. Voting will be open for viewers overnight. Then on Thursday night at 8/7c, we’ll find out which acts were chosen to move on to the Finals.
According to NBC, six of the 12 acts who perform in the Semifinals will move on to the Finals, joining the four live show Golden Buzzers to make a total of 10 acts in the finale, which will air in two parts next week on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Who’s Performing in the Semifinals?
This week, the 12 acts who were voted through by viewers during the Quarterfinals will take the stage for their last chance to make it into the Season 19 finale. There’s a nice variety of acts performing in the Semifinals, but only six of them will make it through.
The Semifinals will feature performances by singers Richard Goodall, Alex Sampson, Reid Wilson, and Pranysqa Mishra; dance group Brent Street; quick-change artist Solange Kardinaly; country band Ashes & Arrows; comedian Learnmore Jonasi; dog act Roni Sagi & Rhythm; drone group Sky Elements; aerialist Kelsey Jane; and magician Young-Min.
Meanwhile, the four acts who earned the Golden Buzzer from the judges during the Quarterfinals will go straight to the Finals. Those acts are dance group AIRFOOTWORKS (chosen by Howie Mandel), singer Dee Dee Simon (chosen by Heidi Klum), Hakuna Matata Acrobats (chosen by Sofia Vergara), and aerial duo Sebastian & Sonia (chosen by Simon Cowell).
