Jennifer Lopez Spotted Holding Hands with Matt Damon After Ben Affleck Split

Less than one month after Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from her husband Ben Affleck, the singer and actress was spotted having a “deep conversation” with Affleck’s close friend and collaborator Matt Damon. The pair was seen talking and holding hands at the Toronto International Film Festival.

According to People, Lopez and Damon were spotted together at the afterparty following the TIFF premiere of the movie Unstoppable — which was produced by Affleck and Damon and features Lopez in a supporting role.
A source told the outlet that Lopez and Damon talked for 20 minutes at a table with Damon’s wife Luciana and actor Don Cheadle, who also appears in the film. Notably, Affleck was not in attendance at Friday’s premiere or afterparty.
“Jen and Matt began talking and had a long, deep conversation,” the source told People. They shared that the pair laughed and also appeared to have more serious moments. They also apparently held hands for several minutes.
Affleck was reportedly spotted in Los Angeles on the day of Unstoppable‘s premiere in Toronto. Lopez wrote on Instagram that it was “one of the most magical nights I think I’ve ever had with a film,” calling the making of the movie “an unforgettable experience.”

Lopez Filed for Divorce Last Month
Last month, Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck after two years of marriage. Divorce rumors had been swirling for months before that, as the pair seemed to be spending a lot of time apart. Lopez reportedly listed the date of separation as April 26.
According to sources, the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement, which would make their earnings during their marriage communal property. Since Lopez and Affleck do not share any children, there won’t be any custody issues involved in the divorce.
Lopez has been married four times, while Affleck has been married twice. Neither star has made a public statement about their divorce since the news broke.
