WATCH ‘The Voice’ Coaches Celebrate 10 Years Of The Show In EPIC Way

The highly-anticipated Season 20 premiere of The Voice is only a few days away. The coaches celebrated the show’s 10 years of success in an interview with Natalie Morales on The Today Show. They reflected on their jobs and also played a game poking fun at none other than Blake Shelton.
Previously, The Voice coaches appeared in a promo for the new season where they sang and danced to Rick Astley’s “Together Forever.”
‘The Voice’ Coaches Are Celebrating The Shows 10-Year Anniversary
Blake has definitely had his entire life change dramatically since joining the coaching panel for The Voice in its very firsts season. He and host Carson Daly are the only two who have been on the show since day one. Blake even found love on The Voice with Gwen Stefani. “You can’t discount that I met my fiancé on the show,” he said in the interview. “At the end of the day, that’s really the biggest thing that’s happened for me.”

“I love music so much I love building something with someone” coach John Legend added about being on the show. “And then when it all comes together and it’s right and it’s magical on stage it’s like ‘oh we’re so fortunate we get to do this for a living.'”

And for Kelly Clarkson, she loves seeing the artists she has worked with blossom. “My first season winner actually she just wrote an incredible song that I begged her to put on her record but she really wants me to sing it so it’s going on my next record” she confessed. Expect to hear a song written by Brynn Cartelli on Kelly’s upcoming album.
The Coaches Are Fired Up Ahead Of The New Season
But the real fun came when the coaches began trolling each other. They spoke about how Blake was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2017. John also received the honor in 2019. Nick Jonas was featured in the Sexiest Man Alive issue as well. The only person that has never been featured is Carson. This caused everyone to laugh at the subtle shade being thrown.
During the interview, we got to see some clips of the coaches at home amid the coronavirus pandemic. Nick particularly found a hobby of making latte art. He answered the question on everyone’s minds about whether or not he has been able to make his wife Priyanka Chopra’s face in latte art. The answer is no.
In quarantine, Blake revealed that he did “build up an even stronger alcohol tolerance.” This was the perfect segway into a game where the coaches were read prompts and had to choose which judge best fit the prompt. Blake was voted the funniest coach on set. He was also voted most likely to stoop low to get a contestant on their team.
To round out the hilarious interview, Carson reflected on how hosting the show has changed his life. “I’m a TV host and music is my passion and I never thought after MTV ended that I would ever have an opportunity for a decade to thrive at the intersection of television and really credible music” he said. “And The Voice has provided that opportunity for me and for my family.” He later compared the production of the show to “a Grammys every single week.”
