The Voice Season 21 runner-up Wendy Moten recently went live on Instagram to talk to her fans about her music and update them about her recent surgery after falling on stage during the show. She even asked fans what they want her next project to sound like.

‘The Voice’ Star Wendy Moten Gives Surgery Update

Moten was still wearing a sling on her arm for the Instagram live. She broke one elbow and fractured a wrist when she tripped and fell on stage during a results show on The Voice Season 21. Moten shared that she had surgery on December 17.

The singer started physical therapy five days after the operation. She said she goes to physical therapy three days a week, and she’s feeling “thankful” and “onto a full recovery.” Moten said fans have been sending her messages saying they’re praying for her as she recovers.

Moten went on to sing a few lines from a George Jones song called “Walk Through This World with Me,” saying the lyrics were a message to her fans. “In life we search / And some of us find,” she sang. “I’ve looked for you / A long, long time.”

Moten Wants Fans to Decide Her Next Project

A fan asked Moten if she wants to collaborate with her coach Blake Shelton, and she answered that she “would love to do some stuff with Blake, whenever he’s ready.” She went on to praise all four coaches, giving a special shout-out to Ariana Grande for her song “Just Look Up” from the movie Don’t Look Up.

Moten said she tried to sing that song but couldn’t hit the whistle notes Grande does. “That’ll be a song I won’t ever sing,” she said. “Because I thought I could hang, but I can’t.”

However, Moten is ready to start recording music again, and she wants her fans to tell her what style they want to hear from her next. She asked people to send her messages answering the question, “What do you hear my next project sounding like?”

Moten said she loves to sing all kinds of genres, but she also likes “to mix it all up at the same time.” Whatever she decides to sing, we’re sure it will sound amazing.
