‘The Voice’ Auditions Wrap Up with Two More Four-Chair Turns

The Voice Season 25 returned on Monday and Tuesday for the Final two nights of Blind Auditions, as the coaches chose the final contestants for their teams. This week’s episodes featured two more four-chair turns.
The Voice Auditions Wrap Up with Four-Chair Turns
On Monday night, 16-year-old Serenity Arce took the stage to audition for the coaches, who were clearly impressed by her rendition of “This City” by Sam Fischer. All four of them turned their chairs for Serenity, but John Legend made sure to block Dan + Shay.
Serenity shared that she had auditioned for a previous season of the show but didn’t make it through, so she decided to come back and try again. Legend’s decision to block Dan + Shay turned out to be fruitless, since Serenity chose to join Chance the Rapper’s team.
On Tuesday night, the show had its final four-chair turn of the season with 43-year-old Val T. Webb, who sang “Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here” by Deborah Cox. Val shared that she’s a worship director at a church, and she also sings background vocals.
The coaches shared their pitches for Val to join their teams, with Reba McEntire telling her she had no critiques for her performance. Ultimately, however, Val chose to work with Chance the Rapper this season.
Reba McEntire Turns at the Last Second for Artist
When L. Rodgers took the stage for her Blind Audition on Tuesday night, only McEntire and Legend had open spots on their teams. The singer delivered a powerful performance of “Wild Horses” by the Rolling Stones, but it looked like she might have to walk away with zero turns.
However, on the very last note of the audition, McEntire hit her button to turn around for L., saying she was “blown away.” L. told McEntire that she “touched my soul throughout my entire life,” adding that she and her wife were currently rewatching Reba. It turned out to be a perfect match.
Interestingly, McEntire is the only coach who has zero four-chair turns on her team this season. Chance the Rapper has the most, with four.
Final Singer Would Have Been a Four-Chair Turn
Olivia Rubini was in a tough situation on Tuesday, as there was only one spot left in the competition when she took the stage. Legend was the last coach with an open spot on his team, and he fortunately turned around for Olivia’s performance of “Long Long Time” by Linda Ronstadt.
The 24-year-old singer got emotional after she saw Legend turn his chair for her audition. None of the other coaches were able to turn around, but they all said they would have if they could. That would have made Olivia a four-chair turn.
