‘The Masked Singer’s Queen of Hearts, Jewel, Says the World Needs “More Heart”
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Jewel is coming off of her Season 6 The Masked Singer win. The Queen of Hearts visited The Nick Cannon show to discuss her experience on the singing competition show.
The new Golden Ear trophy winner smiled her way through the interview with her hat tilted to the side. She explained to Cannon how much her son influences her, and was the reason behind her Queen of Hearts costume.
“The world has enough smart people and we are still in pretty bad shape. The world needs people with more heart. Who makes decisions from their heart,” she said.
During their sit down, both Cannon and Jewel acknowledged how “silly” The Masked Singer could be. I am sure the world also feels this sentiment. With the show’s wacky costumes and witty banter, it is easy not to take the competition show too seriously. Yet time and time again, we see that at its core, The Masked Singer has heart, and has helped many contestants find a new purpose.
Jewel Makes ‘The Masked Singer’ History
Cannon explained that Jewel won because of the substance that she brought to the show. As fans of Jewel have come to know, the singer can often find a deeper meaning to things that others may not have thought of. She explained that she loved the show because it allowed her to discover her “essence.”
“The show focused on what my heart is. I found it oddly deep,” she said.
On the show, Jewel performed songs from Lady Gaga to Patsy Cline. Since the first episode, Jewel was a frontrunner to win the series. Cannon acknowledged how she instantly captured the hearts of viewers (no pun intended).
The Queen of Hearts will be sticking around as the singer will do something that has never been done in The Masked Singer history: she has created an EP filled with all of the songs that she performed on the show, now available on streaming services. Since she did not want this experience to be over, she had the idea to keep the party going.
Jewel mentioned that she arranged the songs that she performed on stage. The hard work that she put in is why she knew she had to make her versions available for her fans.
Jewel is also releasing Freewheelin’ Woman, her thirteenth studio album. The singer says that the album is a bit of a different genre for her and has “soul.” The new album will be released in February.
