The Masked Singer Season 8 will come to a close on Wednesday night, as a winner will be crowned during the two-hour finale. The competition has been narrowed down to just two contestants — Harp and the Lambs. Who will take home the Golden Mask trophy this season?
The Masked Singer Season 8 to Air All-Female Finale
In a preview for Wednesday’s new episode, host Nick Cannon shares that this is the first time the show has had an all-female finale. The Semifinals were also dominated by women, as third-place finisher Snowstorm was unmasked as comedian Nikki Glaser.
The promo also teases that Harp will be singing Lady Gaga’s “Edge of Glory” during the finale, while the Lambs will perform “I’m Every Woman” by Chaka Khan. It’s sure to be an amazing episode, as all of the finalists have delivered incredible performances this season.
The show is already making history with an all-female finale, but even more history could be made if the Lambs end up winning. They would be the first group to ever win the show. And if Harp wins, she would be the third solo female contestant in a row to take home the Golden Mask trophy, after Jewel and Teyana Taylor.
Harp and the Lambs brought different things to the table this season. Harp was the very first Queen of The Masked Singer, and she’s delivered some powerhouse performances of songs like “Perfect” by Pink, “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston, and “About Damn Time” by Lizzo.
On the other hand, the Lambs showed off some fabulous harmonies and an entertaining stage presence. They’ve sung songs like “Hot N Cold” by Katy Perry, “Ironic” by Alanis Morissette, and “Need You Now” by Lady A. It’s clear they have a lot of experience performing together.
Ultimately, however, I don’t see how anyone could beat Harp this season. She’s been the frontrunner since the very first episode, and that hasn’t changed. She even earned a spot on Talent Recap’s list of best Masked Singer performances of all time, and we don’t even know her identity yet!
Regardless of who wins, we’ll get to see both Harp and the Lambs unmasked during Wednesday night’s show, and we’re sure to also see some great performances. Catch the two-hour season finale starting at 8/7c on FOX.
