Kelly Clarkson on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' 2025

The Kelly Clarkson Show could be coming to an end soon, according to a new report from Page Six. Insiders say that the singer’s Emmy-winning talk show, which premiered in 2019, could be in its final season.

The Kelly Clarkson Show Could Be Ending Soon

The Kelly Clarkson Show is currently in its seventh season on the air. As of this writing, the show has not been renewed for an eighth season. Multiple sources recently told Page Six that the show is expected to end after this season.

One source described it as “definite,” while another told the publication that it’s “likely that it will not go on,” adding, “[Her show] is a lot to put on, and looking at the landscape across daytime television, it’s not sustainable anymore.”

Page Six points out that Hoda Kotb was previously rumored to be replacing Clarkson following her exit from Today. However, an insider told the outlet that the fate of the show has not been decided yet, explaining, “Nothing is definite yet, and it’s a still a long season.”

Last year, rumors swirled that Clarkson was looking to step down from her hosting position after her contract expired, in order to spend more time with her children.

Clarkson Missed Several Shows Last Year

Last year, Clarkson was mysteriously absent from several episodes of her talk show, with celebrity guest hosts filling in for her. At the time, the show didn’t make it clear why Clarkson wasn’t present. However, it was likely due to her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock’s battle with cancer.

Blackstock passed away in August of last year at age 48. He and Clarkson shared two children together — daughter River Rose, 11, and son Remington Alexander, 9. The couple tied the knot in 2013, and their divorce was finalized in 2022.
