The Best ‘Never Enough’ Performances on Talent Shows — Can Anyone Beat Loren Allred?

Earlier this year, singer Loren Allred auditioned on Britain’s Got Talent with the song she originated on the Greatest Showman soundtrack. But she’s not the only person to sing that song on talent shows over the years. The track has become a popular choice for powerhouse performers, but who sang it best? 1. Loren Allred

Loren was the voice of “Never Enough” in The Greatest Showman, as actress Rebecca Ferguson lip-synced to her voice. She recently auditioned for Series 15 of Britain’s Got Talent with that very song, earning the Golden Buzzer from Amanda Holden for her soaring voice.

2. Scarlett Lee

In 2018, this singer auditioned for The X Factor UK with an original song. Simon Cowell stopped her and asked her to really prove why she deserved a spot on the show. She pulled out a strong cover of “Never Enough,” earning a standing ovation from the judges and a hug from Cowell.

3. Eva Jumatate

In 2019, this 10-year-old girl auditioned for Sweden’s Got Talent with a powerful cover of the song that brought tears to the judges’ eyes. Judge Bianca Ingrosso called it “the best I’ve ever seen” and hit the Golden Buzzer for Eva in an exciting moment.

4. Filip Cioc

This 10-year-old singer brought judge Florin Călinescu to tears with his beautiful rendition of the song on Romania’s Got Talent in 2021. Călinescu was so moved by the performance that he hit the Golden Buzzer for Filip.

5. Souparnika Nair

In 2020, this 10-year-old singer auditioned for Series 14 of Britain’s Got Talent with a cover of the song that showed off her incredible voice. She started off performing “The Trolley Song,” but Cowell stopped her mid-performance and asked her to sing something else. Souparnika blew everyone away.

6. Jeanick Fournier

Earlier this year, Jeanick performed “Never Enough” on the second season of Canada’s Got Talent during the Semifinals. She belted out the lyrics in a powerhouse performance that had guest judge Jason Priestley blinking back tears. Jeanick went on to win the competition.

7. Phaya

In 2018, this singer put everything she had into a stunning performance of the song on Thailand’s Got Talent. She ended the song in tears as the audience and judges applauded her. One judge signaled that the performance gave her goosebumps.

8. Brian Justin Crum

After reaching the Finals of America’s Got Talent Season 11, this singer returned in 2019 for Champions. For the Finals, he performed “Never Enough,” ending the song with an incredible long note that had the judges on their feet. Mel B called it a “slam dunk.”

9. Shan

In 2018, this singer auditioned for Series 15 of The X Factor UK, saying she wants to be a “great role model.” She went on to perform “Never Enough,” imbuing the song with beautiful emotion. The judges gave Shan a standing ovation. Cowell said he was “genuinely blown away.”

10. Glennis Grace

In 2018, this singer from the Netherlands competed on Season 13 of America’s Got Talent. In the Quarterfinals, she put her own spin on “Never Enough,” showing off soaring vocals. Cowell praised her key changes and the range she displayed.
