Take A Look At ‘America’s Got Talent’ Behind-The-Scenes Season 16

Fans of America’s Got Talent are freaking out because the judges have returned to the set to begin filming Season 16. Are you excited yet? Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and Simon Cowell are all ready to find the next big superstar and are sharing some fun behind-the-scenes sneak peeks.
First Look At ‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 16
America’s Got Talent is back! Virtual auditions for this season began last year amid the coronavirus pandemic. After the virtual auditions, select acts have now been chosen to perform in front of the judges for the very first time. Sofia just posted some pictures on her Instagram account to mark the first day of in-person shooting for Season 16. She wore a gorgeous red Dolce & Gabbana dress with stunning silver jewels.
Sofia also posed with Heidi backstage as the supermodel ate a cupcake. Last season, Heidi missed a taping after coming down with a mysterious sickness during the coronavirus pandemic. Now, we get to see Heidi and Sofia back on our screens together again.
Below is the first look at the stage and the crew working to ensure that everything is up to par. All of the crew is wearing face masks to prevent the spread of COVID and proper safety precautions have been taken on set.
Sofia also shared some snaps on her Instagram story of her first day of work. She thanked her fellow judges for an “amazing” first day along with returning host Terry Crews.

Sofia munched on a cupcake backstage with Simon’s face on it. He previously missed out on the Live Shows of Season 15 of America’s Got Talent due to his electric bike accident. But after a six-hour surgery and a speedy recovery, everyone’s favorite judge is back.
Heidi and Sofia posed for a cute selfie with the caption “we are back.”
Needless to say Sofia is ready to tackle her second season of judging the show.
Safety Precautions Are Being Taken Very Seriously On Set
In one behind the scenes picture, the crew is wearing face masks as they speak to the judges. They are adhering to social distancing rules. Glimpses of Heidi, Sofia and Howie can be seen in this picture, but we are still waiting to see the first glimpse of Simon.
And nobody is taking the pandemic more seriously than germaphobe Howie. He showed up on set wearing a helmet with a clear plastic piece on the front. Howie posed with Heidi backstage in his protective outfit. You can check out some more paparazzi photos here of Howie arriving on set. Last season when Heidi was sick, Howie showed up to the America’s Got Talent set wearing a hazmat suit.
