Snoop Dogg Teases Benefit Concert for California Fire Relief on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

Snoop Dogg was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday night, as the show returned following a brief hiatus due to the devastating wildfires in the Los Angeles area. Snoop shared his appreciation for firefighters and teased a possible benefit concert for those affected.
Snoop Dogg Talks to Jimmy Kimmel About Wildfires
Following Kimmel’s monologue discussing the California wildfires, he welcomed guest Snoop Dogg to the show. The rapper shared that although his family is okay, he knows “people I consider family who lost everything,” adding that they “pulled our troops together, and made sure they had what they needed.”
Snoop praised the firefighters for their hard work, saying, “I feel like they have the toughest job, and they don’t ever get no credit. They always show up, and they do what’s best. When the job is over with, it’s like they’re forgotten about. But we need to give them a lot of praise right now.”
Kimmel shared that Snoop is collecting donations at his store in Inglewood, California. Meanwhile, Kimmel turned his show’s parking lot into a donation center, collecting essential items for those affected by the fires.
“I got a lot of people that’s out there on the ground, that’s making things happen,” Snoop shared. “A lot of times when we put these donations together, certain people don’t get it. So we need to make sure that everybody who needs this gets this.”

Snoop Is Considering a Benefit Concert
During the interview, Kimmel asked Snoop if he would consider recording a song like “We Are the World” to support Los Angeles at this difficult time. Snoop seemed to be more interested in putting on a benefit concert.
“There was talks about concerts to raise money for the victims and the people that have lost in this situation,” Snoop shared. “So I think that’s more of an angle that I would be leaning towards, to do a concert and … take my proceeds and the proceeds from the tickets and make sure that the people got something.”
Kimmel encouraged viewers to support organizations such as Shelter Partnership, the American Red Cross, LA Regional Food Bank, and the LA Fire Department Foundation. He also mentioned the Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club, which Snoop is involved with.
