SNEAK PEEK: ‘The Voice’ Battle Pairings For This Week

The Voice Season 20 continues on Monday night with another round of Battles. Coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Nick Jonas, and Blake Shelton are pairing their artists off for duets.
This week, Kelly Clarkson is once again absent from the performances, as she was feeling sick when the Battles filmed. Kelsea Ballerini will continue to fill in for her, as the coaches decide who should stay on their teams.

The show shared a sneak peek of this week’s Battle pairings for each team. Read on to find out which artists will be going head-to-head for a chance to stay on the show.
‘The Voice’: This Week’s Battle Pairings
Cam Anthony vs. Emma Caroline (Team Blake)
Blake paired these two singers up to perform “10,000 Hours” by Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber. He said he chose the song because it brings pop and country together. They just so happened to be advised by Dan + Shay themselves during rehearsal. Check out a sneak peek of their performance in the video above.
Gihanna Zoe vs. Halley Greg (Team Kelly)
Kelly paired up Gihanna and Halley to sing “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran. She said she “thought that they would do a really great job with it.” The coach introduced them to their advisor, Luis Fonsi, who described it as a “girl power battle.”

Durell Anthony vs. Zania Alaké (Team Legend)
John paired these two singers up to sing “Emotion,” inspired by the Destiny’s Child version of the Bee Gees song. He said both artists have a “Motown” energy, and he wanted them to perform a “soulful song.” John’s advisor Brandy helped him coach the singers during their rehearsal.
Lindsay Joan vs. Zae Romeo (Team Nick)
Nick paired Lindsay and Zae to perform “Rewrite the Stars” from The Greatest Showman. The singers were excited about Nick’s song choice for them. Advisor Darren Criss told the artists to bring their own “theatrical element” to the song.
Jordan Matthew Young vs. Keegan Ferrell (Team Blake)
Blake paired up these two artists to perform “Calling All Angels” by Train, explaining that singers from various genres can make the song work. They received help from The Voice advisors Dan + Shay during rehearsals.
Ciana Pelekai vs. Denisha Dalton (Team Legend)
John paired up Ciana and Denisha to perform “You Broke Me First” by Tate McRae. He said they both have a “rhythmic pop vibe” that would work well for the song. The singers were coached by advisor Brandy during their rehearsals.

Corey Ward vs. Savanna Woods (Team Kelly)
Kelly paired these two singers up to perform “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac, saying the both have rock ‘n’ roll and singer-songwriter vibes. Corey and Savanna said they expected Kelly to pair them together. They were advised by Luis Fonsi during rehearsals.
The Voice Battles continue Monday night at 8/7c on NBC.
