'The Voice Battle of Champions' coaches

The Voice Battle of Champions returns to NBC on Monday, March 9 at 9PM. Ahead of the brand new episode, the show shared a few NEW audition clips. These clips are set to air on Monday’s episode.

Country Singer Almost Gets DENIED by Coaches

In the first early release, shared on Thursday, March 7, country singer Houston Kelly is seen singing “Walking in Memphis” by Marc Cohn. Although all three coaches are seen jamming out to his audition, they were hesitant to hit their red buzzer.

Right as the song ended, Kelly Clarkson hit her buzzer to turn for Houston. Clarkson immediately joked saying she was sweating from waiting so long. She also joked that she’s never waited until the absolute last moment to turn for a singer. In turn, both John Legend and Adam Levine called her conniving, saying she purposely waited so she didn’t have to fight with them.

By default, Houston has joined Team Kelly. Clarkson called Houston a “solid country singer” before giving him a gift to welcome her to his team.

The Voice Shared another Early Release

Differing from the previous early release, the show shared a video of a singer performing “Teenage Dream” by Katy Perry. Instead of sharing who is singing the song, fans are supposed to guess if it’s Mikenley, Natasha, Drew, or Ashley.

Fans have left a variety of comments on YouTube, guessing who the singer is. Of all the guesses, Mikenley seems to be guessed the most. The runner up is Natasha. Multiple people note that the voice sounds older.

Be sure to tune into The Voice on Monday, March 9 at 9PM ET to find out who the mystery singer is. Are you watching this season of The Voice? Let us know on X!
