Despite a serious bike accident and months of recovery, Simon Cowell is back on his feet. The ‘America’s Got Talent‘ judge has been seen in photos from set, but he’s been more quiet than usual. Here’s everything Cowell has been up to so far this year.
Cowell On-Set of ‘America’s Got Talent’
Britain’s Got Talent won’t go ahead this year due to Covid-19 restrictions in the UK. However, fortunately, you’ll be able to get your ‘Got Talent’ fix on NBC instead.
Cowell has spent a large part of this year filming and producing the sixteenth season of America’s Got Talent, set to air this summer. While the mogul has been quiet about his return to the judging desk, the rest of the judges have been posting non-stop. Behind the scenes photos and videos have been circling our social media screens. But while Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Terry Crews all seem to be having fun together, Cowell is noticeably absent.
In March, Vergara posted a picture backstage at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium with the caption: “Back to work! 3rd day of auditions!!” The rest of the judges followed suit, sharing pics on their own social media platforms while Cowell’s have remained quiet.
The few Cowell insights we’ve gathered over the past few months have been photos from the set or promotional posters. Cowell seems to be laying low on social media and allowing the rest of the team to hype us up for the new season.
Meanwhile, Cowell’s Social Life is Fired Up
With California slowly opens up after nearly a year in lockdown, Cowell is back enjoying time with friends and family. The AGT judge and girlfriend, Lauren Silverman have been spotted out in Santa Monica multiple times.
Despite his serious bike accident last year, Cowell has also been seen back on two wheels, riding around his Malibu neighborhood for daily exercise.
Recent social media posts showed Cowell riding on a beachfront alongside his son, Eric. Even after advice from his friend, Ellen Degeneres, the ‘Got Talent’ judge still refuses to wear a helmet. Classic!
Cowell Spends time in the UK with Pierce Morgan
Earlier this year, Cowell was also spotted in casual attire walking with Pierce Morgan. This occurred shortly after Morgan’s now-infamous exit from Good Morning Britain. Speculation arose after the two met, with predictions that Morgan may land himself a judging job on ‘Got Talent’ in the near future. However, with David Walliams now confirmed to stay at BGT for the time being, the chances are far slimmer.
We can speculate all we want about Cowell’s social media silence, but it’s clear he is busier than you think. He’s just very good at keeping it low-key!
