Reading Time: 2 minutes
Meghan Trainor’s son Riley Sabara recently appeared in Australian Idol to surprise his mom and other judges. His cuteness has definitely captured the hearts of the panel as well as numerous internet users.
Riley Sabara Makes an Impromptu Visit On Australian Idol
On Instagram, the “All About That Bass” singer shared a clip of her son dropping by the set with her husband Daryl Sabara. Riley, who’s almost two years old, confusingly yet cutely walked onto the stage while wearing a shirt that read “I am the next Australian Idol.”
“I’m gonna sing the ABCs,” said Sabara in a falsetto on Riley’s behalf.
Seeing the lovely moment, judge Harry Connick Jr. saw it as an opportunity to “play” with Riley. He immediately got up from his seat and went to the piano, spontaneously tapping the keys for “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” Trainor and Sabara then chanted the famous lyrics along, with Riley giving them a disoriented look.
Subsequently, Sabara lifted Riley up to the panel’s table where his proud mom gave him a hug. They then handed Riley the popular Golden Ticket which didn’t seem to amaze him. He curiously observed the same and threw it mindlessly, eliciting hysterical laughs from the judges.
“He’s too good for this show!” Trainor joked. “It’s a no from him!”
On his way out, Riley copied his dad and blew judges and his mom a kiss. The “easiest ‘yes’ all season” was how Trainor described her son’s cameo.
Meghan Trainor, Daryl Sabara are Expecting Another Child Together
In late January, Trainor told People that she is expecting her second baby with Sabara. The pop star termed this pregnancy as a blessing which she was thankful for.
“I’m just so grateful I can get pregnant,” she said. “And I’m like, ‘I’m crushing it. This is amazing. This is my dreams.’ I’m halfway there — I want four kids!”
During the same interview, Trainor revealed that her second pregnancy is heavily different from the first. This is because she got her symptoms late during her pregnancy with Riley. According to the singer, she experienced perioral dermatitis all over her face as well as aching breasts.
“This one was a ride,” she said. “It was a rocky ride, but luckily it was during the holidays, so I could just chill and lay down.”
The “Made You Look” singer is obviously dealing with a hectic schedule over the past few months. Nonetheless, she seems to know no limits as she’ll be releasing her pregnancy book this April entitled Dear Future Mama.
