America’s Got Talent has been on the air for 20 seasons now, with various judges sitting on the panel throughout the years. It’s been a few seasons since the show has introduced a completely new judge to the lineup. We have a few ideas for who might be a good fit.
Who Should Join the America’s Got Talent Judging Panel?
1. Bruno Tonioli
Tonioli has been a judge on Dancing with the Stars since its inception, and he recently spent a few seasons on the Britain’s Got Talent panel. It could be fun to see him bring his larger-than-life personality to the stateside version of the show – especially now that he better understands how the Golden Buzzer works.
2. Bianca Ryan
Ryan was the very first winner of AGT back in 2006, when she was just 11 years old. She’s since returned for AGT: The Champions. What a full-circle moment it would be for her to sit on the panel two decades after her win, giving her insight to new talent.
It’s been too long since we’ve seen Abdul as a regular on a talent show judging panel. She famously sat on the original American Idol panel with current AGT judge Simon Cowell. Seeing them back together would be a blast.
4. Nicole Scherzinger
Scherzinger left The Masked Singer’s judging panel in 2023 to focus on stage acting. But we’ve seen her on so many talent shows over the years — from The X Factor to Australia’s Got Talent — that it would be fun to see her join the panel for just one more.
5. Jennifer Hudson
Hudson has been busy lately hosting her daytime talk show, but if she could find time in her schedule, it would be great to see her take a seat at the AGT judges’ table. Not only does Hudson have experience as a contestant on American Idol, but she was also a coach onThe Voice in both the U.S. and the UK. She would definitely have some interesting things to say.
6. Penn & Teller
Over the years, the AGT judging panel has featured singers, dancers, comedians, and music moguls. But a magician has never sat at the desk. Having two of the world’s most well-known magicians on hand to give their thoughts on the show’s many illusionists would be very interesting.
