Popstar Meghan Trainor has just released an aCapella of her smash hit, “Made You Look” along with an accompanying Christmas-themed music video. Find out why fans and celebrities are getting crazy over this holiday rendition.
Meghan Trainor Features Artist Friends in “Made You Look (A Capella)”
Meghan Trainor invited her friends for a new a Capella version of her TikTok famous single “Made You Look.” Chris Olsen, Pentatonix‘s Scott Hoying and TikTok stars Sri Ramesh and Elyse Myers came along with the pop star to collaborate for this project.
A month ago, Trainor uploaded a short cover of the song on TikTok, filmed while she, Olsen, and Ramesh were in a bathtub. Upon hearing their harmony, fans instantly clamored for a full studio version of the same.
Interestingly, the “All About That Bass” singer did not only give fans a full version of the a Capella but also an official music video. Trainor and her “besties” shunned away from the girly vibe of the song and opted for a Christmas-themed visual content.
“Made You Look (A Capella) is out at midnight tonight!!! thank you to my besties for joining me on this one,” Trainor wrote on Instagram.
The music video was inspired by the spontaneous bathtub cover they initially did, glamoured through their holiday costumes and cute dance steps. Trainor’s husband Daryl Sabara and their son Riley also have a cameo during the last part of the video.
Fans and Celebrities Are Loving This Rendition
As expected, fans adored the a Capella rendition of “Made You Look.” Several celebrities also came to the singer’s comment section to praise the newly released single.
“Obsessed doesn’t even come close!” Little Mix member Perrie Edwards wrote.
Pop singer Christina Perri also commented on Trainor’s Instagram post with multiple celebrating hands sign. Meanwhile, award-winning author Jennette McCurdy also expressed her appreciation for the rendition.
Indeed, the “Made You Look” a Capella version is a fresh take to its original studio version. The song may totally be unrelated to Christmas, but watching the music video can stimulate a viewer’s holiday spirit. Certainly, this rendition is worth-adding to one’s Christmas playlist.
