Who is the Pi-Rat? ‘The Masked Singer’ Prediction & Clues!

The season premiere of The Masked Singer season 8 was the most epic yet! Thanks to new twists and turns, we saw TWO celebrity reveals, incredible costumes, and a whole lotta talent. And there will be plenty more where that came from, with a whopping 22 contestants this season!
One of the singers taking the stage for “Vegas Night” in episode two is the Pi-Rat. This swashbuckling rodent has a unique look and hopefully the stage presence and voice to back it up! But who could the celebrity be under the mask? And what are the clues that prove it? Here’s what we know so far.
Clues on The Masked Singer Season 8
We only received one clue about the Pi-Rat ahead of their first appearance on the show. The Masked Singer‘s Instagram used a “mask-ray” to detect a hook! Not surprising to find a hook on a pirate rat, but also not super helpful.
But on “Vegas Night,” we got a ton of new clues! As Pi-Rat took the stage, we got a clue that he’s “great at multitasking.” Then in his clues package, he said when he was 8 years old, he wasn’t very popular. He had a way of “making [his] own friends” and they “always got a laugh,” he claims while holding up a marionette/puppet. Pi-Rat then headed to Hollywood, California, with his crew to follow his “impossible dream.”
Pi-Rat’s family said he’s “got talent” but everyone else thought he was a “total dummy.” One of the Men in Black holds up a silver platter with a “DINNER FOR DUMMIES” sign on it. Now, he’s proved them wrong and he’s a king! We see “Late Laugh” written out in skywriting. Pi-Rat mentions that he’s “performed in Vegas many nights,” but he’s never the leading man.
Popular Guesses for The Masked Singer Pi-Rat
Based on his sense of humor and puppeteering abilities, the panelists were all on the same page with their predictions. Ken thought it could be Robert Smigel, Nicole guessed Terry Fator, and guest panelist Donny Osmond predicted Jeff Dunham.
Based on the one clue given before his episode, the guessing game was going strong in the comments! Fans thought that Pi-Rat could’ve been Johnny Depp, Martin Short, Patton Oswalt, Steve Buscemi, or Jeff Dunham. The initial predictions were truly all over the place! But once he performed, most people were unanimous in thinking it was Jeff Dunham.

We should’ve known as soon as we saw the little rat in the treasure chest! But we loved seeing the comedian and ventriloquist on The Masked Singer, especially as part of “Vegas Night!”
