Luke Bryan’s Wife Caroline Undergoes ‘Unexpected Hip Surgery’

American Idol judge Luke Bryan’s wife, Caroline Bryan, recently shared with fans on Instagram that she had undergone “unexpected hip surgery.” She posted photos and videos from the experience earlier this week.

“Well…unexpected hip surgery….but I got the best care and surrounded by the most selfless friends ever!” Caroline wrote on Instagram to accompany her post. The first photo she shared shows her giving two thumbs up in a hospital bed.
Caroline also shared a video shouting out her “sweetest friends in the world.” They decorated her walker with stickers and even got her a shirt that reads, “Straight Outta Hip Surgery.” In the clip, Caroline is lying in bed wearing medical boots on both of her feet.
In the post, Caroline tagged the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee, which is located in Franklin. She also tagged Luke Bryan in the first photo, possibly suggesting that he was the one who took the picture.

The Couple Recently Attended the CMA Awards
Last Wednesday, Luke Bryan co-hosted the CMA Awards with former NFL star Peyton Manning. He and Caroline walked the red carpet together at the awards, with Luke in a tuxedo and Caroline in a leopard-print dress.
The couple met in 1998 while they were both attending Georgia Southern University. After an on-and-off romance, they ended up getting married in 2006. The pair has two sons together, and they also stepped in to take care of their nephew and nieces when Bryan’s sister and brother-in-law passed away.
“It took me eight seconds to figure it out and it took her about eight years to figure it out,” Bryan told The Boot in 2013. “I had to drink a lot before I could go talk to her, but I did. Somehow I managed to ease over there and somewhat be charming. It was one of those situations for me, it was like, ‘Who is that and how do I go talk to her? And, yep, I’m going to marry that girl.'”
